Money
The only currency, you can use in Kazan is Russian Rubles. You can make an exchange in every hotel or bank department in the city. The approximately currency rate is 26 RUB per 1 USD. 30 RUB per 1 EURO. Also you can get cash, using an ATM machines.
Please note that each bank takes its own fees for each operation with your credit or debit cards. Also you can use your cards almost in every public place in the city. Such as malls, restaurants, shopping centers. Markets, buses, taxi and souvenir shops operate with cash only.

Transport
You can easily make your transportation in Kazan by using different types of transport.
1. Buses. Their traffic route is drawn throughout all city, so you can easily get to any location, you want. You can learn it in details on reception desk of hotel or on the bus stops. Approximate cost – 10 rubles.
2. Trains and trolleybuses. Their stops are located near bus stops. Approximate cost – 8 rubles.
3. Underground. Quite young transport system, first opened 2 years ago. It is not useful to transfer with it, only if you transferring in the center of the city. It has only one route with 5 stations. Approximate cost is 7 rubles.
4. Taxi. You can order a taxi on the reception desk in hotel. We ask you not to use a local drivers service. The official taxi rates are a little bit higher, than private, but they warranty You the safeness. Approximate cost – 40 rubles per order, plus 6 rubles per each kilometer.
